Bogshoe hike with traditional Estonian food

Discover the magical bogs of Estonia on a guided bogshoe hike – a unique adventure starting in Tallinn.

Bogshoes are lightweight frames attached to boots. They help you walk on soft, wet ground and allow you to explore areas that are otherwise inaccessible on foot.

During the hike, you will learn about local wildlife, enjoy views from a watchtower, and taste mulgipuder, which is listed on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list. The hike usually takes place at Kõnnu Suursoo, located in the Põhja-Kõrvemaa Nature Reserve, but the guide chooses the best location based on the season. The selected bog is 1-1.5 hours’ drive from Tallinn.

The tour includes round-trip transportation from Tallinn and all necessary equipment. We will hike 4–5 km, and the entire tour lasts 5–6 hours (including transportation). The hike is intended for a group of up to 3 people. By prior agreement, private groups of up to 4 people can also join the hike. Larger groups can also participate if transportation is not needed.
